Recent News & Events

Software Development

  • Software release P2 has been delivered by GRAFFICA. Currently intensive testing is being performed by the LARA Team. A meeting is scheduled with GRAFFICA early May to discuss the outcome and fine tune the planning for V1.
  • P2 includes the foreign cluster functionality, the planning prediction tool, What-If Functionality, improved Airspace (De-)Activations and more. This software version will form the basis for a V1 Release Candidate.
  • V1 is expected for June 2010.
  • The software documentation on the specifications and the software architecture are being finalized.

Interfaces

  • A meeting with the CFMU ADR Team is envisaged to further discuss the interfaces and requirements for ADR and current interfaces to CIAM and CACD.
  • The definition of the interface between LARA and PRISMIL has progressed.
  • The LARA Team is currently working on general means to interface to other systems by directly interacting with the LARA Database.

Stakeholders support

  • The LARA User Group has been postponed and will commence on June 9th 2010.
  • The MILOs started using LARA in an experimental mode.
  • The Network Taskforce has met in Brussels mid of April to discuss the Network ICD. MUAC and CFMU are currently investigating the best options to connecting the MILO Position to the Belgian and Dutch Cluster.
  • The Experimental Deployment within the BE and NL Cluster are ongoing. The new software version P2 is currently being prepared for experimental use in these two clusters.
  • Spain, Finland and Bulgaria are in the preparation phase for starting experimental deployments. The LARA Team is supporting by preparing the LARA Software and Database for delivery within the coming weeks. The delegation from Japan following the LARA Demonstration
  • LARA has been presented to the Civil-Military Interface Standing Committee (CMIC) and a Japanese and US Air Force Delegation visiting EUROCONTROL.
  • The LARA Safety Case is currently being finalized.
