Recent News & Events

  • Several intermediate software releases were received from GRAFFICA. Comments were given by the LARA team.
  • The Experimental Deployment for BE DEF, BELGOCONTROL and MUAC was executed. The operational test and validation of the LARA prototype 1.0 has started. Initial comments have been received.
  • The Experimental Deployment in NL is in preparation.
  • An users group meeting took place on 22 Sep 09. It was decided that a TF would be created to discuss the network issues reported in the different countries and to commonly look for solutions. The first meeting of the LARA network communication task force took place on 20 Oct 09.
  • A first draft of an ICD document LARA-PENS has been delivered.
  • A second meeting with DCMAC (LARA), CFMU and DFS (Stanly) is planned on 09 Nov 09.
  • Technical support from the LARA team was given to NATS and the RAF which agreed to extent the demo session and to install the demonstrator in their Ops room.
  • A meeting was organised on 23 Oct 09 with NL and BE for the requested support to an FABEC ASM/ATFCM trial organised in the CFMU from 22 Nov 09 till 04 Dec 09. LARA positions will be delivered for the BE and NL AMCs.
  • Demonstrations were given to CIV and MIL stakeholders of Portugal (22 Oct 09) and Bulgaria (27 Oct 09). The Norwegian Air Force was briefed on 29 Oct 09. The German Air Force and the Finish stakeholders requested also a demonstration in Nov 09.
  • The French Air Force requested a meeting to look at the interface between their system DIANE and LARA
