December 2019: Automated data validation
In order to avoid reactive measures taken in close-from-deadline rush for AUP/UUP publication, LARA allows to anticipate potential de-alignment between local databases and NM stored information.
The EUROCONTROL Data Quality tool for LARA (EDQ) allows tuning and downloading tailored datasets for the use in LARA and other systems. Local ASM Systems are required to maintain a database that is up-to-date and consistent with NM ENV data to enable interoperability. This is a prerequisite for the use of the NM B2B Services to exchange ASM Planning Data, namely Areas, Routes and
restrictions.
Additionally to notification reports send by EDQ on changes made by NM that could affect local datasets, a LARA Server setting option is available to check for whether data should be automatically validated for being up-to-date by using NM’s AUP validation services.
This is configured by activating the functionality:
NM_B2B.AUTO_VALIDATE_AUPS to TRUE, and by specifying the time of day at which to perform the automatic NM AUP validation:
NM_B2B.AUTO_VALIDATE_AUPS_TIME to e.g. “06:00”.
A mail account can be set-up (NM_B2B.MAIL.SEND.TO) in order to get the automated validation check report but if not configured, the validation is still performed with a result only available in the LARA server XmlExchange logs.
Validation check report gives the result as e.g.:
The AUP with full Charlie usages for EHMCZAMC valid for 07/12/19 06:00 – 08/12/19 06:00 was valid.
The full type 2 openings AUP for EHMCZAMC valid for 07/12/19 06:00 – 08/12/19 06:00 was valid.
The full type 1 closures AUP for EHMCZAMC valid for 07/12/19 06:00 – 08/12/19 06:00 was valid.
